Sarah Martinson is a songwriter, vocalist, trumpeter, and educator. Growing up in Alaska fostered her love of boundless nature, serenity, and existentialism, stoking her dream of translating these nostalgic concepts into poetry and song. After spending the last few years living out of suitcase and making music along the way, Sarah has landed in Scotland with her husband, producer and drummer Ali McLeod.
Following lifelong classical training and obtaining Bachelors degrees in Music Education and Trumpet Performance from Central Washington University, Sarah returned to Alaska to teach high school band, choir, and jazz. She later explored contemporary music through completing a Masters degree in Contemporary Vocal Performance and Production at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain. From her nomadic and genre-diverse experiences, Sarah collected memories and influences for decades culminating in her debut multi-genre album, Back to You.
Sarah is currently focused on creating her second album, an homage to nature and the beauty of simplicity.
